Newsmen?

Micah and I have both just been issued media credentials by the Obama campaign. Our wives have also received credentials and will be working as our camera operators and sound technicians. We will be covering the event for Access-4 and for the local blogosphere from inside the press pool.

Hey, you guys have any idea how large the media contingent is going to be at the event?

Yeah, the media contingent is going to be gigantic. Our confirmation e-mail said that the risers are all full and they now have a staging area for television on the ground. I expect there will be just about every big media personality at the event.

I'll never forget at the last Obama event, running into Chris Matthews in Robbie's. He came into get some coffee to thaw out a bit, but that wasn't doing much good. He asked where he could get a drink and everyone told him Brewhaus. He told us that's where he'd be until the event started. Good stuff. He came across as a pretty good guy in real life.
