Covering the Obama Event

Okay, we have all of our information for setup times in the morning and how to get our press credentials from the media sign in station.

We have a camera and a tripod. We have a digital photography camera for some nice still images. Micah and I are going to be brushing up a little on some talking points tonight. We're very excited about the event tomorrow, and from a historical standpoint, I think this is a big day for Springfield. It's not everyday that an event of this magnitude rolls through town.

Will you be using your PBS voices? Seriously, good luck and have fun!

I don't know if we have PBS voices. We're a lot more like baseball radio announcers than PBS intellectuals.

We're looking forward to it. Should be a blast.

Wow! Have a great time!! What an experience! And doubly cool that you get to be there with friends and spouses.

Look behind the very last row of people, wherever that is, and behind them will be my kids and I. I want them to someday tell their kids about how crazy Grandma Nancy dragged them all out to hear future President Obama speak on the Old Capitol lawn.

I'm actually giddy.....
