Call for Interview Subjects for the J2G Documentary

Thanks to everyone who has already filled out the survey. Data is literally pouring into the Just Two Guys headquarters here.

Before long, we will start shooting parts of the film. One of the elements of the documentary is going to be video footage and still images of sites and events around Springfield. We're going to use a variety of cameras to give the film an interesting look. If you have any photos or video you'd like to contribute, feel free to contact us.

Another element will be in-person interviews. Some of these interviews will be conducted on the fly as man-on-the-street interviews, while others we'd like to setup and shoot in the studio.

We currently have two studio sessions booked. Our first is July 1 from 7:00 to 8:15. Our second session is July 17 from 7:00 to 8:15. If you are interested in sharing your personal stories about Springfield, either positive or negative, or if you know someone who would be interested in appearing in the film to talk about the issues relating to life in Springfield, let us know and we'll get you/them scheduled for an interview. Most interviews will run between 15 and 20 minutes and then edited for the film.

To reach us, send us an e-mail at justtwoguys [AT] hotmail [DOT] com.

I can't appear in the documentary because I hate the camera and the camera hates me. If you need any help behind the scenes, I'd be willing to lend what few talents that I possess.

Are you wanting to capture the perspectives of young adults or do you want to span the years? My dad is 81 years old and my mom is 78. They have both lived in Spfld their whole lives. They're both very, very sharp and have great stories about the coal mines and all the grand theaters of yore. I'm not even sure if they'd want to do something like this, but I'd ask them if you're interested.I love listening to my mom talk about what an event it was to shop downtown and the women would dress up with hats and gloves.

Dan-

Thanks. If we need anything, we'll be sure to get in touch.

Nancy-

Most definitely if they'd be interested we'd be interested. We're really trying to include the views of a wide range of people and ages. So, yeah, see if they'd be interested. It would be nice to get the perspective of folks who have lived here for so many years and to get a more historical view of the changes. Thanks!

Jason-

Thanks for sharing. I've only glanced at the photos, but it looks like a lot of nice shots.

if you need someone playing the role of a "blogger," I'm your man. I got a basement, am starting to put on a few pounds and like to sit at the computer naked while eating tacos. Might need to get a camera man who is either blind or can control his/her laughter though.

Hi guys

Talked to my Daddio and he's in if you need him. He's the sweetest man in the whole world and you'll be the better for meeting him if I do say so myself.
