Taking a Hiatus from the Just Two Guys Blog

Hey everybody. This is John. I've decided to scale back my workload on the Just Two Guys blog for an undetermined amount of time. Micah and I spoke about this earlier today. More than likely I'll still post an update here and there, but I will not post with the frequency that I have up to this point. Micah may spend more time blogging, or he may not. It depends on what his schedule will allow.

Do not fear. Just Two Guys is still going strong. Micah and I will continue to do the show, and the blog will remain through thick and thin.

For years, I've been working on a book. The manuscript, titled An Embarrassment of Riches, is nearly finished, and I've started a blog to chart my journey to publication. I'll be blogging the revision stages of my manuscript, my work on securing a literary agent, and then the actual publication of the book. I'm hoping to use the blog not only to keep myself focused and energized, but also to give readers a look at what it takes to get a book published.

An Embarrassment of Riches is a work of creative nonfiction, mostly short stories culled from my childhood growing up in Oakford, Illinois. The blog will include excerpts from the work (reader criticisms encouraged), as well as pictures of Oakford, reminiscences of my childhood there, and a whole slew of publication-related items.
