How Do You Take Your Coffee?

I love coffee straight and black and hot. And it pains me to see people waste the beautiful natural goodness of coffee by adding cream (or worse creamer), sugar (or worse artificial sweetener), or other types of god-knows-what. So, I've thrown a poll together. You can choose more than one answer. If you drink with sugar (sweetener) and cream (creamer), check both. If you want, please leave comments explaining why you add stuff to your coffee. I'd like to know.

If you drink derivative beverages (i.e. Lattes, Cappuccinos, Macchiatos, Frappuccinos, Crappuccinos, etc.) mark Other and leave us a comment please.

Many thanks.

I like my coffee the way I like my women.

Bitter.

And oily on the surface.

You forgot to mention Irish coffee, as I like MY coffee like I like my women.

Full of booze.

All (somewhat) joking aside, I'm like you- I take my coffee straight black. The way nature intended.

Well, I would vote none of the above as I can't stand the stuff. But I'm commenting on Mr. ThirtyWhat's java habit ...

For years he drank it black ... no sugar, no creamer ... nothing. And boy, was he avid about it ... nothing in the cup but coffee.

Then about three years ago, he said it was bothering his stomach. So he started adding milk ... then upgraded to flavored creamer. The product of choice for the moment is International Creamers French Vanilla.

I don't know ... there's no amount of additive that will cut that bitter coffee taste as far as I'm concerned. Then again, I'm the person who would be happy drinking a frozen coke every morning ... so I'm not exactly an epicure.

Johann-

Nice call. Should've mentioned Irish, but it slipped me mind. Good call.
