Coffee Poll Results

The Coffee Poll results are in. 60% of our voters prefer their coffee black. This is a bit surprising to me, as it seems everyone I know prefers a little something in their coffee. I'll admit that when I started my first "real" job after college, I used sugar in my coffee. After about a year, I started thinking about all the extra, unnecessary calories I was introducing into my diet. I wasn't really interested in giving up coffee, so I just took out the sugar. It did take a little adjusting, but before long, I really found myself enjoying coffee more for its own natural flavor. I love the taste of coffee. It's warm, comforting, inviting. It's like sitting down around the kitchen table with a good friend and wasting a Friday night telling stories.

In my opinion, drinking coffee is a little like drinking wine or even good beer. You kind of get caught up in tasting the arc of the flavor or the depth of the bean. You enjoy when you pick up a certain nuttiness in the bean, or a certain smokiness from the roasting process. And it has certainly become a social drink of choice.

That's all I have to say about that at this time.

I did not cast my vote becuase Glade was not an option. I did not feel like "other" was a catagory that it should fall under.
