A lot of people look to the summer as a season of relaxation. It's a good time for vacations, and everything is vibrant and alive. When we were kids, summer gave us the opportunity to sleep late, ride our bikes, trade baseball cards, play in the dirt, or
I write English tests for a small company that develops tests. Summer is by far the busiest time of year for us, and the week following the 4th of July is deadline season. We are available for the production of customized benchmark tests throughout the year, but we also develop three different lines of tests (including a test bank of sorts) that is revised and updated for release at the beginning of each school year. Teachers can use these tests to supplement their coursework, to provide benchmark tests, or just to brush up on certain skills.
We usually start preparing for the updated release of these materials in March or April, and it's nonstop butt-busting (my office chair has buttprints that could be used to identify me) work until this week.
Well, we just got to the end of the road. We're waiting on a few reviews to come back, but the development is over. The tests will ship soon. Now it's on to individual client projects.
Hopefully my blogging life can return now.
