Thanks to coverage from the State-Journal Register, local bloggers, and a growing word-of-mouth, Movie Geeks Club was insanely well-attended last night. We have been averaging 20-25 people per screening. Last night we had somewhere in the 45-50 range. It was really great. I think the fact that we were showing This is Spinal Tap, played a big role too. That movie has a loyal following.
We conducted a short little trivia game during the movie, and we gave away a Movie Geeks Club T-Shirt to our trivia winner, Dan of BlogFreeSpringfield. Congratulations Dan. Your pre-trivia bragging was all worth it!
Thanks to everyone who came out to support Movie Geeks Club, and thanks to the gang at Capital City Bar and Grill for allowing us to come out once a month and watch movies together. I hope we can keep doing this for a long, long time.
